Apollo Swap: One of Navy Medicine’s Favorite Furry Shipmates

The photos below showcase Rear Adm. Anne Swap, Navy Medicine East (NME) commander, and  her certified service dog Apollo Swap, who also works as a facility dog for NME.  Apollo regularly greets patients and staff at Naval Medical Center Portsmouth (NMCP), bringing a smile to everyone he meets. Navy Medicine East oversees the delivery of medical, dental and other health care services to approximately one million patients across almost 100 facilities-including the Tidewater Military Health System which brings together McDonald Army Health Center, Naval Medical Center Portsmouth and U.S. Air Force Hospital Langley
