From Paul R. Ross, Editor, Navy Medicine Magazine
Navy Medicine is proud to present the 2012 summer issue of Navy Medicine Magazine. It features various articles and photos highlighting the great work being done by Navy Medicine around the world.
The summer issue is full of compelling articles that deal with topics ranging from the Navy medical support at a historic Marine helicopter squadron to an article about a very unique humanitarian assistance mission. The pages are full of stories about Navy corpsmen and the support they provide on the battlefield. These Sailors are accomplishing great feats including saving lives, earning the Silver Star award, and treating suicide bomb victims. There is an article discussing collaboration driving change and a commentary on the combat trauma care system. As always, there are columns from Navy Medicine leadership, an Innovations/Research and Development section, and last but not least a look back in Navy Medicine history and more.
