Navy’s Top Leader shares Summer Safety Message

From Chief of Naval Operations Admiral Jonathan Greenert,

Summer is here and it’s hot, it’s a fun time of year, but it’s a time of year when we’ve got to pay attention to Safety. As we’re out there biking, boating and grilling, I need everyone to think about what you’re doing and look out for your shipmates. If you ride a motorcycle, take the motorcycle-safety course and wear the right protective gear. Driving a motorcycle or driving a car is statistically the most dangerous thing we do. We need each and every one of you, so please be smart, be safe and come back to work alive. Have a great Summer Shipmates and if you see your shipmate doing something crazy, step in and help that person out.
